I was pretty happy to see how good my crappy old fridge was at keeping cool. They reckon that below 4°C is best for dafe food storage. And beer storage too eh?
Notice the spike, when I defrosted the fridge on 4th May? I had to, because the freezer compartment had iced up so much that I couldn't close the freezer door. (It is one of those old style 'internal' freezers, with a plastic door inside the main fridge compartment.) That explains the temperature spike a few days before the 'defrost' event. The door didn't close properly one day, and stayed ajar for several hours. That alos helped create a lot more ice, so the time for the defrost was nigh.
The other spikes may also be due to the door not closing properly. That is one of the adorable (NOT) quirks of my fridge.
I removed the r.h. trace coz it got in the way. You might be wondering why I chose the units of 168 h on the bottom x axis... 7 days x 24 h = 1 week = 168 h. Also, see how the temperature moves in steps (square edges)? That is because the temperature increments of the datalogger are about 0.5°C. Also I was logging every 10 minutes, which was a little excessive.
Any suggestions about where I should record some data? Let me know if you have any special requests.
